New President 2016/17

Our new committee for 2016/17 has been finalised and we would like to thank Rick Watkins for taking on the role as President. Rick is a life member, a founding member and coach of the club. This will be his 4th time over 30+ years of taking on the President role. He will be supported by a very enthusiastic and hard working group of parents who make up our committee, including Pat McPhillips who will support in the Vice President role.

2016 State Track and Field Championships

The 2016 State Track and Field Championships was a weekend full of great performances and lots of PB’s, but most importantly, all our athletes had fun and displayed great sportsmanship not only amongst each other, but also amongst those they competed against.

Albion Park athletes performed very competitively against the best in the State and produced some outstanding results against some very strong clubs that have a lot more athletes than ours. Our athletes produced 15 medals with 8 individual State Medallists & 1 team medal.

Our athletes put in a lot of work over the season and it’s great to be rewarded for all their hard work.

Special mention goes to Chelsea Ezeoke who medalled in all four of her events, resulting in an outstanding three golds and one silver, which isn’t an easy accomplishment at State level. Well done Chelsea!

We’d also like to pass on our thanks and appreciation to Pete Murphy for his help with our three relay teams, with the junior boys winning bronze! An excellent result!

We hope you’ve all had a fun season and hope to see you back next season.

Our presentation date has been confirmed for Sunday 3 April, 2pm at the Kembla Joggers Club House, Darkes Road, Kembla Grange. We hope to see you there!

Welcome to Albion Park Little Athletics

As a club we are committed to providing a weekly athletics program that is both enjoyable and well organised. To do this successfully we need your help with the following activities:

Setting up and packing away equipment
Place judging for track events
Age management
Assisitng age manager with field events
Helping in the canteen
Supervising your own children at all times
Competition is held on Friday nights, first call is at 5.15pm for 5.30 pm start.
Age groups cannot commence their weekly events until such time as they have an age manager.
At all times you are responsible for the supervision of your children. Under no circumstances can your child be left at the ground unless you have pre-arranged for another parent to supervise them on your behalf. Children found to be unsupervised will not be able to compete until their parent is in attendance. Parents need to sign on each week to record who is supervising your child.
One of the main purposes of Little Athletics is to have families enjoy doing activities together. We hope you and your family have fun at running, throwing, jumping and spending active time together.
